1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gau Astha mobile application and related services (the "Service") provided by Gau Astha ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, logging in, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Use of the Service

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the authority to act on behalf of your gaushala organisation to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2.2 Permitted Use

You may use the Service solely for lawful internal gaushala management purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without prior written consent
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems

2.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at info@boxkey.in if you suspect any unauthorised access.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

3.1 Subscription Plans

Access to the Service is provided on a subscription basis. Available plans, pricing, and billing cycles are displayed within the application. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

3.2 Free Trial

New gaushala accounts may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, access will be suspended unless a paid subscription is activated. Trial duration and conditions are displayed at the time of registration.

3.3 Payment Processing

All subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method through Razorpay. Razorpay's Terms of Service apply to payment processing.

3.4 Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 7 days of the charge at info@boxkey.in and we will review the matter on a case-by-case basis.

3.5 Subscription Lapse

If your subscription lapses due to non-payment, access to the Service will be restricted. Your data will be retained for a period of 90 days during which you may renew the subscription to restore access. After this period, data may be permanently deleted.

4. Donations

The donation functionality within the Service allows gaushalas to accept contributions from donors. We act solely as a technology facilitator for these transactions. We are not responsible for:

• The end use of donated funds by any gaushala organisation
• Any disputes between donors and gaushala operators
• Tax deductibility or 80G eligibility of donations (consult a qualified tax advisor)

Gaushala administrators are solely responsible for the lawful collection, management, and allocation of donated funds.

5. Data Ownership

All operational data you enter into the Service — including cattle records, health records, staff profiles, and operational logs — remains your property. We do not claim ownership of your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Sensitive Data Responsibility

The Service provides fields for sensitive information such as staff Aadhaar numbers. You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining appropriate consent from staff before entering their sensitive information
• Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)
• Restricting access to sensitive staff data to authorised personnel only

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including the app design, logo, source code, and content — are and remain the exclusive property of Gau Astha. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
• Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any defects will be corrected

The Service is a management tool only. It does not constitute veterinary, financial, legal, or any other professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gau Astha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
